Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to book with Sweet Snowsports Limited team of self-employed ski instructors.

All prices quoted by us and paid for by you are for instruction only. It is your responsibility to pay separately for all other potential costs connected with the lesson, eg. lift passes, equipment hire, accommodation and insurance.

Please pay attention to the following terms of booking. This contract will be governed and interpreted in accordance with Scottish law. If anything in it is not clear, please call us and we will be happy to discuss.

Booking

• Clients attending our lessons must pay the appropriate fee in full, before joining the class.
• In the case of advance bookings, we will reserve your place for a maximum of ten days from the date of our confirmation, during which full payment must be made.
• No contract will exist until we issue a receipt, accepting your payment. Prices may be subject to revision.

Payment

• We accept payment by credit card (VISA / MasterCard), debit card or by personal cheque, accompanied by the guarantee card number or by bank transfer. Please note that all card transactions are made through a secure PalPay (PayPal) terminal. They are protected by encryption on a secure server. Your card statement will show a transaction to “Sweet S/S”

Cancellation

• In the event of you cancelling your reservation, the following charges apply:
  – More than ten weeks notice – 10% of fee
  – Between ten and two weeks notice – 50% of fee
  – Less than two weeks notice – 90% of fee
• No refund will be given by the ski school, in whole or in part, for unused lessons due to late arrival, illness or accident by a client, resort closure due to weather conditions or mechanical failure, or for any other cause outside the control of the ski school. We will, however, provide a letter for your insurance company where appropriate (by request).
• No refund will be given for lessons cancelled by the client due to unfavourable/inclement weather conditions.
• The ski school reserves the right to cancel its lessons for a variety of reasons. Full refunds of unused lessons will be made in this instance.
• Course places are not transferable.
• Minimum numbers and course duration
• All Morning Workshops and Teen Academy sessions require a minimum of two clients to allow the courses to run for the specified duration
• With fewer numbers, we can run some of our courses for a reduced time. We will offer you a conversion to private lessons in the case that the minimum numbers have not been reached, alternatively we will offer a full refund. We are obliged to take into account the prevailing conditions and the standards of our clients.
• In the event of a full or partial refund Sweet Snowsports will process payments within three business days. Sweet Snowsports can not be held liable for any delays caused any associated third parties.

Client Commitments

• The ski school does not insure its clients. You are obliged to insure yourself with adequate winter-sports insurance including third party liability. We recommend that you arrange an appropriate policy, which should also includes personal, medical and rescue insurance, with a licensed agent.
• All of our instructor staff are self-employed ski instructors. The contract of instruction is between the client and the instructor. The contract to administer and manage the booking is betwen the client and Sweet Snowsports Limited.
• For reasons of safety, it is a condition of booking that you will respect the professional judgment of your instructor whilst you are in the class.
• Clients should present themselves in a fit and safe condition for physical activity in the mountain environment.
• If at any time during your course you have cause for complaint, you must let us know immediately and we will endeavour to address the situation, to your satisfaction.
• Sweet Snowsports can not be held liable for any material displayed or contained within external websites.
